ASTROLOGY: THE SCIENCE THAT STUDIES THE CONNECTION BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH
Astrology is the science that studies the relationship between what happens in the sky and what happens on Earth. Today’s astrologers seem to be more occupied with their computer screen than with what really happens in the heavens.
Many astrologers do not look to the sky, do not understand what retrograde planets are all about, are unfamiliar with the background of the Moonnodes and so on.
It is the duty of an astrologer to know something about the basics of astronomy. After all, what is happening in the sky is the basis of astrology. If you do not understand what is happening there, you do not really know what you are talking about when you look at a chart.
RESULT OF THE COURSE
The result of this course will be that you will thoroughly understand the the relationship between astronomical reality and the information which is found in an astrological chart.
In 9 lessons you will receive answers to questions like::
What is the connection between what you see at the sky and the astrological chart?
What are the Moonnodes exactly and how is it possible that sometimes planets seem to go backwards?
Why is the Moon sometimes high or low at the sky and how to explain the Moonphases and Eclipses?
Do other planets have phases, if so what are these and have they any meaning for the astrological interpretation?
What is the background of the difference between the sidereal and tropical zodiac?
When does the age of Aquarius starts (answer it will take about 430 years for the Age of Aquarius to start, more information about the reasons of this in the course)?
How can I make my own Solar Temple? The course gives instructions on how to make a solar observatorium on your balcony or in your garden. Find out how to make your own Mini-Stonehenge.
The course contains links to sites that give additional information and on which you can download free software.
You will learn to work with a freeware planetarium. This program gives a clear picture on what you see at the sky at a certain moment.
Lessons end with assignments that you can email to the supervisor (Roeland de Looff). Much attention will be paid to the situation of the sky at the moment of your birth. This gives the course a personal touch. You will find out the relationship between your chart and what actually happened at the sky when you were born.
