5: The Astronomical Basis of
Astrology
Astrology is the science which
studies the relationship between what
happens in the sky and what happens on Earth. Today’s astrologers seem
to be more
occupied with their computer screen then with what really happens in
the heavens.
Many astrologers do not look to the sky, do not understand what
retrograde planets are all
about, are unfamiliar with the Moonnodes and so on.
It is the duty of an astrologer to know something about the basics of
astronomy. After
all, what is happening in the sky is the basis of astrology. If you do
not understand what
is happening there, you do not know what you are talking about when you
look at a chart.
